Pantone Color Bridge is a printed fan deck that places a Pantone Solid spot color beside its closest CMYK process simulation. It gives a practical answer to 'what happens if this brand color has to print with four process inks instead of its own mixed ink?' Turn to the Reflex Blue chip and the gap between the two halves is obvious at arm's length.
Use the Coated or Uncoated bridge that matches the stock, viewed under controlled light, when quoting a process-only job or preparing a fallback for a spot-color design. Pantone Connect can supply library data on screen, but the physical side-by-side print is the useful reality check.
Gotcha: a CMYK equivalent is an approximation, not another recipe for the same color. Some Pantone colors sit outside the process gamut, and the result changes with the output profile, press, stock, and bridge edition. Keep the original spot swatch in the master artwork.
