What it is

Before-After-Bridge is a copy formula built from contrast. Before shows the audience's current frustrating state. After makes a better, credible state easy to picture. Bridge explains how the product, service, or action gets them from one to the other.

Reach for it when the transformation is easier to understand than the feature list: onboarding, coaching, workflow tools, case studies, and short sales emails. Keep the before recognizable, make the after observable rather than dreamy, and name the mechanism in the bridge so the product earns its place.

Gotcha: the after is not a fantasy sequence and the bridge is not 'with our powerful platform'. A giant promise beside a vague mechanism creates disbelief. Shrink the transformation to what the evidence can support, then show the specific steps or capability that causes it.

Ask AI for it

Write a sales email for [product] using Before-After-Bridge and the Jobs to Be Done technique. Before: describe one current struggle in the audience's supplied language. After: show one observable better state without superlatives or unsupported time savings. Bridge: name the exact product capability and 2 steps that move the reader between those states. Finish with one CTA and exact button or link text. Label each section, keep the email under [word count], and flag any promised outcome that the supplied evidence does not support.
