Cold traffic vs warm traffic
Cold traffic is strangers meeting you for the first time. Warm traffic already knows you. The same page converts wildly differently for each.

What it is
Temperature describes how much a visitor already knows and trusts you. Cold is a stranger who got interrupted by your ad mid-scroll. Warm is someone who visited your pricing page, opened three emails, or follows your founder. Same page, same offer, completely different conversion rate, because one of them still needs to be told what the product even is.
Practically: cold traffic wants the problem named, proof it is real, and a low-commitment next step (read, watch, download). Warm traffic wants the objection killed and the button. Retargeting, email lists, and past customers are your warm pools; broad interest targeting, lookalikes, and cold outreach are the cold ones.
Gotcha: most people judge a landing page by its blended conversion rate, which is a lie. A page that converts 12 percent is often just a page fed by warm retargeting. Split the numbers by temperature before you decide the page works, and never send cold traffic to a page written for people who already know you.

Write two versions of this landing page, one for cold traffic and one for warm traffic. The cold version: lead by naming the problem in the visitor's own words, explain what the product is in the first two sentences, carry heavy proof (numbers, testimonials, logos), and end on a low-commitment CTA. The warm version: assume they know the product, open with the specific outcome, cut the education, answer the top three objections, and push straight to buy or start trial. Keep the offer and brand voice identical across both; change only the assumed knowledge.
