What it is

A brand signature is a prescribed lockup that joins the logo to a tagline, descriptor, or endorsement such as 'A [PARENT BRAND] company.' The type size, gap, alignment, and relative scale are fixed, so the whole arrangement travels and scales as one approved asset. Nokia ran one for years: the wordmark with 'Connecting People' set beneath it at a fixed size and gap, shipped as a single piece of artwork.

Reach for one when the extra line must accompany the name for a launch, an endorsed brand, or a business whose name does not explain the offer. Prepare horizontal and stacked signatures only if both have a real home, and specify when the plain logo should take over.

Gotcha: the smallest text sets the minimum size for the entire signature. A tagline that is crisp on a storefront may vanish in a mobile header, and users will rebuild it if the approved asset does not fit. Treat the signature as artwork, not as a logo file plus live text someone can nudge.

Build an approved brand signature from the attached [LOGO] and the line '[TAGLINE OR ENDORSEMENT]' in Figma Auto Layout. Preserve the logo artwork, set the added line in [TYPEFACE AND WEIGHT], align it to the wordmark's optical center, and use one cap height as the fixed gap. Create horizontal and stacked variants, lock their proportions, and show each at its measured minimum legible size. Export outlined SVG masters in full color, solid black, and reversed white.
