Brand platform
The short strategic foundation that keeps purpose, positioning, promise, values, and personality pointing in the same direction.

What it is
A brand platform is the compact strategic foundation beneath the words and visuals: purpose, positioning, promise, values, and personality, with a clear relationship between them. It gives the name, identity, messaging, hiring language, and product choices the same source of truth. Kapferer's Brand Identity Prism is one established tool for testing this territory from the brand's outward and inward sides.
Reach for one before a new identity, a repositioning, or a large team starts producing inconsistent decisions. A useful platform is short enough to remember and specific enough to reject an attractive but wrong campaign idea.
Gotcha: a stack of noble nouns is not a platform. 'Innovation, integrity, excellence' could belong to a bank, a hospital, or a plumber. Each element needs evidence, an implication for behavior, and a tradeoff. If nothing could violate it, it cannot guide anything.

Build a one-page brand platform for [BRAND] from [CUSTOMER RESEARCH], [COMPETITOR EVIDENCE], [FOUNDER INPUT], and [PRODUCT FACTS]. Use Kapferer's Brand Identity Prism as a diagnostic, then write one specific line each for purpose, positioning, promise, three values, and three personality traits with opposites. Under every line, cite the supplied evidence and add one behavior it requires plus one choice it rules out. Resolve contradictions between sections, flag claims with no evidence, and finish with a six-line version the team can actually remember.
